Dr. Stephen Etter earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana - Champaign.
Dr. Etter went on to complete a one-year small animal medicine and surgery internship in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before moving to North Carolina. He practiced in Greenville, NC, and most recently outside of Charlotte in the Lake Norman area. Originally from southern New Hampshire, Dr. Etter has lived in Florida, Illinois, and even spent some time in New Zealand! His professional interests include ultrasonography, dermatology, clinical pathology, and geriatric medicine.
Dr. Etter enjoys traveling, hiking, fine-tuning his espresso, and taking care of plants (his daughter counted 73 indoor plants!). His wife, Carrie, is also a veterinarian. They have two daughters at home who keep them very busy! They also have a Great Dane/lab mix named Gryffin; a golden retriever named Fable, and two cats, Kitnine and Beta.
