Exotic mammals are becoming more popular and include a variety of different species such as, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, chinchillas, dagus, rats, ferrets, and others.  The field of exotic mammal medicine continues to expand as we learn more about these loveable pets.

These mammals have their own unique dental issues which require special care.  They also have particular reactions to medications given and numerous internal medicine problems.

This expanding field requires special education to allow proper care of your pet despite their often small size.
