The Calypso Diaries
It was a slow morning...dogs were napping, cats were ignoring everyone and everything.

I am Calypso, the super 8 month old calico Maine Coon kitten.  I find slow mornings B-o-o-o-r-i-n-g!

"Dad" was in his chair and "mom" was reading when the phone rang.  Mom wasn't going to answer it - because she always does and Dad was ignnoring it.

Mom said "Get that, will you?"

Dad took a little piece of plastic out of his right ear.  Thank God!  It whistles really loud and hurts my ears when he forgets and leaves it in.  He laid it on his table with his book.  I saw my chance to liven up the day.

While he talked, I slipped around the bottom of his table and, oh so carefully, reached up and knocked the noisy little piece of plastic off the table.  It was great!!!  I hit it and knocked it this way and that!  Fun!!!  REALLY FUN!!!

Later dad was looking for something called a "hearing aid".  Mom said if he kept it in his ear, where it belonged, he would know where it is.  Then she turned her evil eye on me!!!  She said, "Calypso, what have you done?"

I don't know why she got so upset, but I do know that they won't see that little piece of plastic again!!!

I'll just hide here under my bed until the heat is off!!!
