Bonnie Brae Veterinary Hospital
About Bonnie Brae Veterinary Hospital
Bonnie Brae Veterinary Hospital opened its doors at its present location in December 1996. This was a culmination of many years of dedication to a vision of excellence, starting with former owner/partner, Dr. Bibi Freer. Bibi purchased a small practice in 1990 and worked out of her basement and red Isuzu Trooper. The name Bonnie Brae is in honor of the area's beauty and culture, meaning "Beautiful Hillside" in the Old Scottish Language from Bibi's ancestry.
When a close friend and fellow veterinary school classmate, Dr. Angel Mitchell came to visit Bibi, she fell in love with the area. On April Fools Day 1991, Angel and Bibi opened the doors of their new veterinary clinic in the Ace Hardware building in Lynn.
The hospital has enjoyed a steady growth since its beginning and after moving to its present location, Dr. Iain Fitch joined in 1997.
The hospital serves Polk county and surrounding areas such as Henderson, Rutherfordton and Spartanburg counties. Bonnie Brae strives to be involved in the local community and sponsors many local events and projects, such as having a team for Relay for Life of the Foothills.
Animals are a very important part of our everyday lives. We at Bonnie Brae Veterinary Hospital, accept our responsibility to care for and assist these creatures in any way possible. This is our vision of excellence and each employee is a vital part of this endeavor.
